Fluoride is the name given to any substance that has the element fluorine in it: for example Sodium Fluoride, NaF, has a sodium and a fluorine element together.
Fluorine, the element F, is the smallest most electronegative element on earth. It is called a halogen and is in the same class as chlorine, bromine and iodine.
