Civil Rights Activist Andrew J Young joins the fight to stop Water Fluoridation
“This is a civil rights issue and the people have a right to have the full story given to them, rather than highly edited, misleading talking points” says former UN Ambassador, in an open letter to the governor of Atlanta, Georgia, Nathan Deal.
Ambassador Young is firm in his request as he states: "I am calling for a repeal of Georgia's fluoridation law, immediately."
Although the American Dental Association publicly promotes water fluoridation it has also in private called for more studies for those who are considered high risk for adverse effects. These populations include African Americans at higher risk for moderate to severe dental fluorosis, young males with higher risk for osteosarcomas, a rare bone cancer, and the elderly and those with compromised kidney function and reduced thyroid function.
